About this opportunity

MIT Solve Global Challenges is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) that seeks technology-driven solutions to major global problems. Every year, MIT Solve launches open challenges in areas such as: Climate Health Learning Economic Prosperity Indigenous Communities Selected innovators become MIT Solvers and join a nine-month support program. Solvers receive funding opportunities, mentorship, access to MIT's ecosystem, strategic partnerships, media exposure, and a global network of supporters. Since 2015, MIT Solve has mobilized over $80 million and supported innovators reaching hundreds of millions of people worldwide.

Requirements

Technology-Based Solution Applicants must present an innovative solution that uses technology or innovation to solve a social or environmental challenge. Solutions may address: Climate Health Education Economic inclusion Indigenous communities Other UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) ✅ Individual, Team, or Organization Applications are accepted from: Individuals Teams Startups Nonprofits Social enterprises Corporations Universities No specific legal structure is required. ✅ Early-Stage to Scale-Ready Solutions MIT Solve welcomes: Pilot-stage solutions Existing products Scaling ventures Selection favors solutions with: Potential for large-scale impact Clear implementation plans Sustainable business or operating models. ✅ Social or Environmental Impact Solutions should improve outcomes in: Health Education Climate resilience Economic prosperity Food systems Community development Alignment with the UN SDGs is encouraged. ✅ English Proficiency Applications and participation are conducted in English, so applicants should be able to communicate effectively in English.
