About this opportunity
The Misk Art Institute Curatorial Internship 2026 is a fully funded 10-week professional training program organized by the Misk Art Institute in partnership with the MAXXI Museum Curatorial Office in Rome, Italy. The program immerses participants in the research, interpretation, and development of exhibitions and curatorial projects within one of Europe's leading contemporary art and architecture institutions.
Interns work alongside professional curators and contribute to active exhibitions, strengthening their skills in curatorial writing, critical thinking, archival research, and exhibition development

Professional Experience
- At least one year of curatorial experience.
Academic Background
In one of the following:
- Contemporary Art
- Architecture
- Curatorial Studies
- Museum Studies
- Related disciplines
Knowledge Requirements
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Strong interest in exhibition-making.
- Knowledge of contemporary art and architecture.
- Familiarity with museums, archives, and collections.
- Ability to conduct research and critically engage with artworks.
Technical Skills
- Curatorial writing skills.
- Experience with archives and databases.

Internship Structure
