About this opportunity

The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) is Hong Kong's flagship doctoral scholarship, established by the Research Grants Council to attract outstanding PhD candidates from around the world. Each year, hundreds of fellowships are awarded to students with exceptional academic achievement, research potential, communication skills, and leadership qualities. Awardees may study at one of Hong Kong's eight publicly funded research universities while receiving generous financial support for up to three years.

Requirements

- Apply as a new full-time PhD student. - Meet the admission requirements of one of the eight participating universities. - Complete the initial HKPFS online application to obtain an HKPFS Reference Number. - Submit a separate PhD application directly to the chosen university (or universities, where permitted). - Selection is based on: - Academic excellence - Research ability and potential - Communication and interpersonal skills - Leadership qualities
