Wellcome Discovery Awards

Wellcome Discovery Awards support established research teams pursuing ambitious, curiosity-driven projects that can transform understanding of health and biomedical science. The scheme is intentionally flexible, encouraging interdisciplinary work and long-term research that may be too innovative or exploratory for traditional funding programmes. Projects may span laboratory science, population health, humanities, or social sciences, provided they contribute to Wellcome's mission of improving health.
