About this opportunity
The Canon Foundation in Europe Research Fellowship promotes academic exchange between Europe and Japan by supporting outstanding researchers undertaking projects abroad. Up to 15 fellowships are awarded each year across all disciplines. Applicants are free to choose their host institution, making the fellowship highly flexible and attractive for interdisciplinary research.
Requirements
- European applicants must conduct research in Japan; Japanese applicants must conduct research in Europe.
- Hold at least a Master's or PhD obtained within the last 10 years (exceptions may be considered).
- Open to university researchers and professionals in industry or government.
- Secure a suitable host institution.
- Submit a detailed research proposal, CV, references, and host confirmation.
- Priority is given to first-time research exchanges between Europe and Japan.
