Goethe-Zentrum Kampala’s Open Call for Proposals

The Goethe-Zentrum Kampala Open Call for Proposals is an ongoing cultural funding initiative designed to support artists and creative organizations working in Uganda. Unlike programs with rigid themes and fixed grant sizes, this call provides flexible support to projects that demonstrate creativity, innovation, and meaningful contributions to the country's arts ecosystem. Open to disciplines ranging from literature and fashion to film and theatre, the program prioritizes projects that expand artistic practice, encourage experimentation, and strengthen Uganda's cultural landscape. Funding amounts are determined according to project needs rather than predetermined limits.

Applicants must: 1\. Be Based in Uganda Projects should directly contribute to Uganda's arts and culture sector. 2\. Submit an Original Proposal Projects should: Be innovative. Push artistic boundaries. Enhance the artist's skill set. Create value for the Ugandan cultural scene. 3\. Belong to Eligible Artistic Disciplines Including literature, photography, fashion, film, theatre, dance, and visual arts. 4\.
